A World Built on TextRP
5th Ward is not just another server – it’s our attempt to bring back pure text-based roleplay in a world where atmosphere matters just as much as mechanics. Everything is stripped down to the essentials: the story you tell, the words you write, and the city you breathe in.
We’re starting simple, but we’re starting strong. The first systems are here to set the tone: the inventory & clothing mechanics and the faction structure.
Inventory & Clothing System
Your character isn’t just a model on the screen – they’re a part of Liberty City’s story. The inventory is designed to be intuitive and immersive:
- Slots & Weight: Every pocket counts. You can’t carry the world on your shoulders.
- Clothing System: What you wear matters. Hoodies, sneakers, jackets – your outfit reflects your identity. Each piece takes its place in the system and adds flavor to your roleplay.
- Hotbar (Quick Access): Essentials at your fingertips. Switch between cash, weapons, or tickets instantly, without breaking immersion.
It’s not about stacking items; it’s about living your character through the things they carry.
Faction System (/f)
The heart of 5th Ward lies in community, and factions are the veins that pump life into Liberty. Whether it’s a street crew, a small gang, a union, or something bigger – factions give your RP a framework.
Core Commands:
- /f – Displays your faction & members.
- /fc – Faction chat, private and secure.
- /fadd [nick] – Invite new blood.
- /fleave – Leave faction.
- /fkick [nick] – Remove someone.
- /faddowner [nick] – Share leadership.
- /fkickowner [nick] – Strip leadership when needed.
- /fdisband – End it all.
Radial Menu
The radial menu is designed to keep things fluid and immersive. Instead of digging through endless text commands, you can access key interactions with a simple, intuitive wheel:
- Character Options – manage basic features tied to your identity.
- Quick Interactions – access common actions without typing.
- Future Expansion – the radial is built as a base for more immersive systems to come, from civilian interactions to faction utilities.
It’s not meant to replace the roleplay with shortcuts – it’s here to streamline the essentials so you can stay in character, without breaking the flow of text-driven gameplay.
The Atmosphere of Liberty
5th Ward doesn’t aim to be another sun-soaked, easygoing RP server. Our Liberty City is dark, oppressive, and raw – a place where dreams rot as fast as they’re born. Inspired by the bleakness of Gotham City (but without capes or supernatural villains), Liberty in 5th Ward is a character of its own.
This is the stage for your stories. A city of crime, despair, and survival – but also of ambition, loyalty, and fleeting moments of hope. Every faction, every character, every storyline feeds into this collective atmosphere.

We’re still building. What you see here is just the first layer of the foundation. More systems, more tools, and more immersion are coming – always with one rule in mind: keep it simple, atmospheric, and text-driven.
